Copeland's Sunday brunch (buffet)

  • Sara's birthday
  • dream Uncle Jun died
  • Mass in Spanish
  • cleaning
Sara's birthday. I woke up at around 7AM to post a birthday card on her Facebook wall. I had already scheduled an automated birthday message, which appeared on her wall around 6AM, but since she sent me a picture I felt bad and had to post one up too.

I also had a dream Friday night (the 4th) that Jacqui's dad had passed away. Our family was attending some type of celebration (someone's wedding, I think). I asked Jacqui how her dad was doing, she broke into tears and said he died. The news was so unexpected that I was forcing the tears out to try to console her. I told Mom about it, trying to divert the awkwardness. Instead of crying all she did was say "I'm sorry to hear that," but Jacqui seemed to be fine with her response. Note to myself that I did tell my family about it just in case.

Also Boo missed it. We ate at Copeland's today. SO much food. 4 different stations! In the back near our table was the omelette station and dessert table. Then in the front was the main buffet, with bread, pastries, breakfast foods, and Southern lunch dishes. To the right of that was the Belgian waffle station, which included fresh fruit toppings, expensive meats (prime rib, roast beef, and honey ham), and French toast. There may have been a Beignet station but I could not verify this. My favorites were the Brabant potatoes, mac & cheese, chicken wing w/rice. The prime rib and cheesecake parfait were okay, too. For $22, it was good!

*I dropped a chicken wing and left it on the buffet table.

We also went to Sunday Mass at 5PM (in Spanish).
I spent this day cleaning.
